El tiempo transcurre en esta historia entre dos vidas: Sara, la hija de aquel apasionado guerrillero, una joven que vive en pleno "desencanto" y cuya generación incluso pareciera estar perdida en una vorágine sinsentido; las becas institucionales, los viajes y el conocimiento académico no son el suficiente soporte de su existencia. Y Antonio, una vida que se describe en pasado, en un tiempo de nostalgia y hasta de melancolía que posiblemente devenga en el recuento de los días que muchos de aquellos guerrilleros tuvieron en común.
Las posibles conexiones de la vida son a veces los lugares visitados; en este caso, los lugares en los que padre e hija, Antonio y Sara vivieron en tiempos distantes: París, México y Cuba, ciudades que quedan como el único resquicio capaz de unir ambas vidas en el transcurrir de esta fantástica historia.
